Fridge/freezer:
- eggs
- butter
- parmesan cheese
- cheddar or monterey jack or gouda cheese
- lemons/limes
- zucchini
- broccoli/cauliflower
- bacon
- full fat plan yogurt
- miso paste
- tomato paste in a tube
- carrots
- brown mustard (I like Guldens)
- cream or half & half
Pantry:
- aseptically packaged tofu (I like Mori-Nu)
- onions
- plain, long grain rice
- dry lentils– brown or du Puy or Beluga
- canned chickpeas/garbanzo beans
- canned white beans
- black tea
- herbal tea
- prunes or dried apricots
- almonds
- canned tomatoes
- cornmeal– medium grind
- sugar
- dry vermouth
- olive oil
- red wine or sherry vinegar (I prefer sherry)
- soy sauce
- rice wine vinegar
- hot sauce (Tabasco is the most neutral, I use asian hot sauce)
- canned tuna
- chicken/beef bouillon
Bonus items:
- basmati rice
- sushi rice
- raisins (I like golden)
- cashews
- walnut oil
- sesame oil
- cider vinegar
- apples
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts/thighs
- red lentils
- pesto in a tube
- mozzarella or ricotta cheese
- frozen squash or sweet potato or rutabaga chunks
